Can’t. Hold. On. Much. Longer.

When we feel like we’re losing
Why do we go on grasping?
Like the air we’re falling through
Isn’t whirring passed us
As if we’re not poured out
Like sifting time
Inside an hour-glass

Why do we fight against the fall?
Shaming this
Comfortless metamorphosis
When facts only prove
Our downy nest couldn’t withstand
The weight of us any longer
And the struggle makes us stronger
Though the sudden plummet
Hurts like hell
And the speed of the drop
Is sheer, unadulterated terror
